Delegation from twin-city Potsdam visits Jyväskylä

The City of Jyväskylä is hosting guests from twin city Potsdam for four days 17-20 February. Potsdam’s Vice Chair Elona Mülle, Chief of Economic Development Stefan Fredrichs, Head of Marketing and Communications Sigrid Sommer and a long-time twin city friend Eva Gretsch are visiting Jyväskylä.

The 4-days visiting programme includes the topics such as regional development, city planning and EU-affairs. The business life development and the city’s international visibility will be introduced to the delegation. During the visit the twin-cities further cooperation will be discussed and the plan for a concert visit of the Cantinovum choir to Potsdam shall be drafted.

The German Potsdam is the capital of the federal state Brandenburg and has 153 000 inhabitants. Potsdam cooperates as twin city with Jyväskylä since 1985. In 2005 the twin cities renewed their relationship agreement. Also this year’s goal is it to update the targets and content of the agreement.
